- perfer open grassland with scattered trees
- pedators of young bluebirds are snakes, cats, & racoons
- like platform bird feeders, filled w/ the grubs of a darkling beetle
- helps gardens
chickadee behavior
- permanent residents
- sing a lot
- live in vegitations & cavities
- does not dust bathe
- only females make the nests
- white eggs w/ reddish dots
- 6-8 eggs
